About
CO-VISION Public Panel at the Centre d'Art Lo Pati, Amposta, part of the Creative Europe project CO-VISION – Cartographing Natural Heritage. About 33 participants (artists, scientists, students, local residents) explored how artistic and scientific practices collaborate to understand and communicate the ecological transformations of the Ebro Delta. The session opened with a guided visit to Jana Winderen's underwater/environmental sound installation, introducing 'listening as ecological awareness.' Marine scientists Vanessa Balagué and Jordi Camp (ICM-CSIC) discussed research on oceanic microorganisms and global change, presenting the Ebro Delta as an emblematic site of accelerated transformation (rising sea levels, sediment loss, changing ecosystems). Themes: dialogue between art and science, the Delta as a living laboratory, interdisciplinary and community collaboration, and imagining sustainable futures — with art fostering empathy, imagination and shared responsibility.
