About

The CO-VISION Professional Panel “A Co-Vision of Our Natural Heritage” brought together Daniel Burda, Lauren Moffatt and Auronda Scalera to reflect on different approaches to digital art, natural heritage and cultural engagement. The conversation connected three distinct contexts: Signal Festival in Prague, Moffatt’s artistic research in the Ebro Delta, and the developing digital-art ecosystem of the Middle East. Particular attention was given to the relationship between local territories and artistic practice, with Moffatt presenting the CO-VISION project developed around diatoms, scientific data, water and augmented reality. The discussion highlighted how digital art can make invisible ecological processes perceptible while also creating new ways of engaging broad audiences with questions of natural and cultural heritage. It also demonstrated the value of the CO-VISION network as a space for exchange between different artistic, institutional and geographical contexts. The panel concluded by emphasising the connections created through the three-year project and the potential for these professional relationships to continue through future collaborations and exchanges.
