16.04.2026 — Signal Festival

The final local debate returned to the location of the first one, the archaeological site of Mikulčice. The late-afternoon programme was organised in three blocks. The first block presented local scientists working in archaeology and archaeobotany connected to Southern Moravia — Michaela Látková and Petr Dresler.

The second block, "Cultural landscapes", was dedicated to two curators and university educators, Miloš Vojtěchovský and Dagmar Šubrtová, both strongly engaged in artistic creation connected to landscape, land art and installations in public space; they presented their experiences and notable works from across Czechia.

After a short break, the video artwork Confluence was screened — some members of the community had not yet seen it — introduced by a short talk by one of its artists, David Přílučík.

The third and last block, "Water & landscape", was led by David Veselý and Jan Sychra, who presented contemporary approaches to controlling water flow in the landscape, with a specific case study of Southern Moravia.

On 17 April a guided tour of the Soutok protected natural site was led by the director of the institution and its administrator, Vladan Riedl.
