Marie Kukač

Marie Kukač (Tučková) moves in the space between the media of text, performance, composition, video, drawing and installation. Her work explores the politics of listening, the hierarchy of voices, polyphony, various forms of collaboration and the overlapping of political and poetic language. Her work is based on improvisation as endless rehearsal (Wilson Harris) and song as manifestation. She is a laureate of the Jindřich Chalupecký Prize 2020. She received her Bachelor's degree at UMPRUM (Studio of Photography) and in 2021 received her Master's degree from the Dutch Art Institute Art Praxis. In 2023 she was artist in residence at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris and in 2025 she is artist in residence at the CEAAC in Strasbourg.
